• Keys to Achieving Resilient Transitions (KART): Provides training, funding, and support to group homes, residential treatment facilities, and community-based service providers for children on the brink of aging out of foster care (Bridgewater, Hillsborough)
• Center for Exercise and Aging: Fitness testing, senior walking programs, and fitness-oriented social events (Bridgewater)
• Rutgers Cooperative Extension: A “classroom without walls” bringing university research to people in their communities, from 4-H youth programs to teaching good nutrition (Bridgewater)

• Eagleton State House Express: provides grants to NJ middle and high schools to rent a bus for a trip to Trenton and a visit to the State (Bridgewater)
• Rutgers Science Explorer Bus: Interactive science lessons and demonstrations for middle school and junior high students in a 40-foot, state-of-the-art, custom-designed mobile laboratory staffed by Rutgers scientists (Manville)
• Waksman Student Scholars Program: Yearlong program in molecular biology, genetics, and bioinformatics (Bridgewater, Hillsborough, Somerville)

Did You Know?

Rutgers’ Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program consistently attracts top postdoctoral talent from around the nation to New Jersey’s leading pharmaceutical corporations. The program—the largest of its kind in the United States, with about 70 percent of the market share for industry-based postgraduate training for pharmacists—gives New Jersey companies a distinct competitive recruiting advantage. Fifty fellows complete the program each year, with about half accepting positions with their host companies. District 16 host companies include Raritan-based Ortho-McNeil and Bridgewater-based Ortho Biotech,  and Sanofi-Aventis. The program is based at Rutgers’ Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, New Jersey’s only pharmacy school.
